The Day

Sat Sept 19, 2026

The day would consist of 4 individual workshop sessions where each person could select subjects they are drawn to.  There would be an introduction at 9am, lunch at 11, large group activity at 1, closing at 4pm.  You would select four classes/sessions that could include meditation, art, fishing, journaling, healing walk, self directed packet, yoga, Faith talk, small group talk, group project or preserving memories. These workshop sessions provide many ways to remember those we’ve lost through connecting with each other and connecting through creativity, movement, nature and Faith.

Child care would be provided.  Kids could join parents during opening, lunch, and closing remarks.  Families could choose to stay and enjoy the property after the closing ceremony with hiking, swimming, a camp fire and the option of a picinic dinner.

Workshop would be held at Our Nawakwa, a 75 acre property in Cornell.  Our Nawakwa includes  lake waterfront, lodges, dining hall and includes part of the Ice Age Trail.  This is a beautiful, tranquil property that would service our needs for space(s), quiet, reflection, and nature.  It’s the perfect setting for a safe and renewing day full of  comfort and hope.  It's 40 minutes from Eau Claire and 25 minutes from Chippewa Falls.

The costs for this Workshop would be covered in several ways.  The primary costs are covered by generious friends.  There will be a small fee for participants, the goal would be $20 per adult.  Children are welcome at no cost for the on site childcare.
